We had to start somewhere, and Cuba made sense for a few reasons. Everyday shortages of food, medicine, and basic goods have made daily life harder for millions of Cuban families, and many people in Canada and the U.S. already have friends or relatives there they wish they could help more directly. Cuba is our starting point, not our destination. As we learn what works, the logistics, the guidelines, the matching process, we plan to open EverybodyCanHelp to more countries and more communities who need it.
